Embedded Engineer

About this role

Sesame is looking for an Embedded Engineer to help develop innovative voice agent technology for consumer electronics. This role involves rapid firmware development, systems integration, and collaboration with a distributed team to deliver complex embedded systems.

What you'll do

• Architect and implement embedded software across various platforms
• Contribute to hardware design and debugging
• Improve firmware development and CI workflows
• Develop software for data collection and testing
• Integrate higher-level software components with embedded systems
• Manage partner relationships to enhance development capabilities

What they're looking for

• C/C++ and Python mastery
• Experience with bootloaders and embedded systems
• Proficiency in Linux/AOSP and real-time operating systems
• Knowledge of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and USB
• Familiarity with electrical test equipment
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in ambiguous environments
• Passion for learning and experimentation
