About this role

Shield AI seeks an experienced DevOps Build Engineer to own and optimize the build system for autonomous aircraft software. You'll enhance developer velocity, implement CI/CD best practices, and integrate testing pipelines while supporting a distributed team across defense-tech operations.

What you'll do

  • Own and maintain the C++ build system for XBAT/VBAT autonomous aircraft platforms
  • Reduce build and test cycle times by identifying and eliminating pipeline bottlenecks
  • Collaborate with software engineers to design and implement build infrastructure solutions
  • Integrate CI pipelines with HIL and simulation environments for automated validation
  • Implement monitoring, dashboards, and alerts for build system performance
  • Troubleshoot build/test failures and establish integration best practices
