About this role
Shield AI seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to support operations and sustainment of autonomous systems and defense technology in field environments. You'll diagnose technical issues, manage deployments, and provide on-site engineering support for cutting-edge autonomy and aircraft platforms globally.
What you'll do
- Deploy and troubleshoot autonomy software and aircraft systems in operational environments
- Provide on-site technical support and maintenance for Hivemind, V-BAT, and X-BAT platforms
- Coordinate with operations teams to resolve technical issues and optimize system performance
- Document field findings and contribute to product improvements based on real-world data
- Execute hardware and software diagnostics across distributed geographic locations
- Support training and knowledge transfer to customer teams
