Software Engineer, Infrastructure

About this role

Sierra is seeking a Software Engineer for Infrastructure to design and maintain systems that underpin their AI platform. The role involves enhancing platform reliability, scalability, and security while supporting engineering teams with robust cloud infrastructure and CI/CD practices.

What you'll do

• Ensure reliability and performance of AI platform and LLM inference
• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure with Terraform
• Develop a self-serve infrastructure platform for engineering teams
• Manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployments
• Architect distributed systems utilizing various databases and ML models
• Enhance observability tools for platform health monitoring

What they're looking for

• 5-7+ years of software engineering experience
• Proficiency in automation and platform development
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform)
• Expertise in CI/CD systems and container orchestration
• Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
• Incident response experience in distributed systems
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
