About this role

Sift is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to build and operate their Agentic AI platform, Sift Agents, which helps hardware engineering teams analyze large telemetry datasets. In this product-focused role, you'll collaborate directly with customers, design and implement core agent components, and build scalable distributed systems on Kubernetes. You'll be instrumental in shaping the future of the platform and empowering engineers with AI-driven insights.

What you'll do

  • Translate customer workflows into agent capabilities (dashboards, scripts, insights).
  • Design, build, and operate agentic systems for time-series data.
  • Develop reliable agent components: tool interfaces, sandboxed execution, and memory management.
  • Build distributed systems for real-time agent workloads on Kubernetes.
  • Design and implement APIs for agentic capabilities.
  • Create evaluation suites to measure agent effectiveness and monitor quality.
