Sila is seeking a Battery Operations Technician to contribute to the assembly and testing of lithium-ion batteries using innovative materials. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and thrive in a collaborative environment focused on improving battery technology.
What you'll do
- Prepare and characterize chemical mixtures for batteries
- Assemble and test lithium-ion batteries
- Fabricate mechanical fixtures and perform preventative maintenance
- Record work and maintain data accuracy in an online database
- Manage inventory and keep the workspace organized
- Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate results

- Attention to detail and safety
- Ability to work both in teams and independently
- Strong task completion and efficiency
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and computer usage
- Logical reasoning and willingness to learn
- Experience in electrochemical cell R&D labs (preferred)
