Autonomy Engineer - Deep Learning

Skydio is seeking a Deep Learning Engineer in Zurich to advance their autonomous drone technology through innovative deep learning solutions. The role focuses on developing and deploying models to tackle complex tasks such as object detection and path planning, utilizing both real and synthetic data.

What you'll do

• Design and deploy computer vision and deep learning models
• Leverage real-world video and sensor data for training and evaluation
• Utilize synthetic data to enhance deep learning algorithms
• Optimize models for low-latency performance on embedded hardware
• Develop evaluation benchmarks for autonomous systems
• Assist with various aspects of software as needed

What they're looking for

• M.S. or Ph.D. in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field
• Experience with deep learning model design and deployment
• Proficient in Python/PyTorch, C++ preferred
• Ability to work with complex codebases
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Familiarity with current academic literature on deep learning
