Software Engineer - Autonomy Infrastructure, Systems and Tools

About this role

Skydio is seeking a Software Engineer to develop tools supporting the autonomy lifecycle for drone technology. The role involves backend systems design and front-end visualization, aimed at enhancing developer experience and facilitating effective tooling for autonomy developers and stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Design and build replay and analysis systems for autonomy behavior inspection
• Develop scalable infrastructure for automated testing and failure triage
• Define APIs and performance requirements between autonomy software and middleware
• Create high-quality developer infrastructure prioritizing reliability and usability
• Lead design and implementation of tools across development workflows
• Collaborate with teams for requirement gathering and delivery of impactful tooling
