Skydio is seeking a Wireless Software Engineer to enhance their autonomous drones' wireless capabilities. The role involves developing innovative communication protocols and software solutions to improve the connectivity and range of drone systems in challenging environments.

What you'll do

• Push the boundaries of wireless capabilities for longer range and faster connectivity.
• Develop a new communication protocol for mesh drone communication.
• Implement efficient solutions for drone communication in an OFDMA-based network.
• Optimize wireless software and firmware across WLAN, LTE, and 5G.
• Validate system-level algorithms for performance under dynamic conditions.

• Understanding of WLAN and cellular protocols
• Proficient in firmware development
• Experienced in C++, C, and Python
• Software engineering skills for wireless features
• Ability to diagnose complex multi-layer issues
