Platform Engineer - Application Networking

Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Platform Engineer focused on application networking to develop and manage collaborative routing platforms. The role involves deploying solutions using Kubernetes and ensuring secure, reliable communication across PlayStation's infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain application routing frameworks
• Enhance routing capabilities within the Kong ecosystem
• Manage safe traffic approaches for scalability and resilience
• Support container-based networking on Kubernetes
• Increase reliability and observability of routing platforms
• Integrate routing solutions into CI/CD workflows

What they're looking for

• Proficiency in networking and distributed systems
• Experience with application gateways and traffic management
• Kubernetes management in production
• Understanding of HTTP and traffic patterns
• Experience with L4/L7 routing concepts
• Knowledge of gateway architectures and service meshes
• Familiarity with GitOps and Infrastructure as Code
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
