CNC Programmer & Machinist (3- Axis & 5-Axis Okuma)

About this role

Space Kinetic is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer & Machinist to contribute to innovative space technology through rapid prototyping. The role involves operating and programming various CNC machines to manufacture essential components, supporting flight-ready prototypes.

What you'll do

• Manufacture and assemble parts for rapid prototyping
• Generate CAM packages for manufacturing
• Operate CNC Mills and lathes, specifically Okuma machines
• Refine and iterate prototypes for flight testing
• Collaborate with engineering teams on design needs
• Adapt quickly to Space Kinetic's culture and requirements

What they're looking for

• 8+ years as a Machinist
• Proficient in Mastercam or similar CAM packages
• Extensive experience with 3 and 5-axis CNC machines
• Setup skills for complex parts and tight tolerances
• Ability to meet project milestones
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills
• Leadership experience in mentoring machinists
