Application Software Engineer

About this role

SpaceX is seeking an Application Software Engineer to develop mission-critical applications that enhance operations across the company, including systems for rocket production and the Starlink internet service. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative engineer who enjoys tackling challenges and contributing to SpaceX’s inspiring goal of human life on Mars.

What you'll do

• Develop reliable software solutions for SpaceX
• Create applications to improve company operations
• Build prototypes for design concepts and technical limits
• Oversee all software engineering aspects
• Identify user issues to develop efficient solutions
• Participate in architecture, design, and code review discussions

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's in computer science or related field
• 1+ years of full stack development experience
• Proficiency in Python, C#.NET, Go, or Java
• Experience with single-page applications
• Understanding of version control and CI/CD
• Skills in software design and application performance optimization
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with SQL databases
