About this role
SpaceX seeks an Automation Build Engineer for their Starlink Development Operations team in Bastrop, TX. You'll lead manufacturing process optimization, manage automation asset builds, and coordinate cross-functional teams to scale fabrication and integration workflows while meeting aggressive program milestones.
What you'll do
- Serve as liaison between automation, supply chain, production, and development operations to deploy factory infrastructure aligned with program schedules
- Design, build, and deploy modular automation assets from procurement through installation and handoff to production teams
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes and workflows that increase throughput, efficiency, and personnel safety
- Create engineering documentation for design-to-production transitions including assembly procedures, BOMs, and integration instructions
- Lead troubleshooting of non-conforming products and drive root cause analysis with corrective actions
- Contribute to design reviews as a design-for-manufacturability expert and develop technician training programs
