SpaceX is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer in Hawthorne, CA to design and implement cutting-edge automation systems for advanced manufacturing facilities. The role involves developing various automated solutions to enhance R&D and production efficiency, focusing on creating and managing control systems from conception to deployment.

What you'll do

• Conceptual development of equipment balancing specifications and requirements
• Design and layout industrial control panels compliant with relevant codes
• Simulate processes to evaluate automation proposals
• Write and debug PLC code for manufacturing applications
• Manage builds and wiring of electrical cabinets
• Deploy automated processes into production environments

What they're looking for

• Engineering degree
• 1+ years in automation and controls systems
• Knowledge of building automation for critical infrastructure
• CAD experience with electrical schematics
• PLC programming expertise
• HMI and SCADA programming
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills
