Automation & Controls Engineer, Solar Cell Factory (Starlink)

SpaceX is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer for its Solar Cell Factory, aimed at enhancing solar cell production for Starlink’s advanced broadband system. The role involves designing, optimizing, and managing automation systems to improve safety and efficiency in the factory setting.

What you'll do

• Develop and manage automation projects from concept to operational hand-off
• Write and debug structured PLC code for high-volume manufacturing
• Implement safety-compliant systems for factory equipment
• Create user-friendly HMI screens for complex machinery
• Integrate equipment into master SCADA and MES systems
• Design electrical systems meeting regulatory standards
