Automation & Controls Engineer (Starship Launch Hardware)

SpaceX is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer for its Starship Launch Hardware team in Cape Canaveral, FL. The role involves designing and improving control systems critical for the launch organization, requiring hands-on experience with electrical engineering and programmable controllers.

What you'll do

• Develop new and existing control systems for launch operations
• Write and debug organized PLC code for manufacturing
• Design controls network infrastructure
• Maintain SCADA infrastructure at launch sites
• Create compliant industrial electrical control panels and schematics
• Provide troubleshooting support for critical ground support equipment

What they're looking for

• Electrical or computer engineering degree
• Experience with instrumentation power systems
• Electronics test rack design
• CAD experience using EPlan
• PLC programming experience, preferably Siemens
• HMI and SCADA programming experience
• Knowledge of NEC and UL508A codes
• Collaboration in high-pressure environments
