SpaceX is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer for its Starship Launch Hardware team in Cape Canaveral, FL. The role involves designing and improving control systems critical for the launch organization, requiring hands-on experience with electrical engineering and programmable controllers.
What you'll do
- Develop new and existing control systems for launch operations
- Write and debug organized PLC code for manufacturing
- Design controls network infrastructure
- Maintain SCADA infrastructure at launch sites
- Create compliant industrial electrical control panels and schematics
- Provide troubleshooting support for critical ground support equipment
What they're looking for
- Electrical or computer engineering degree
- Experience with instrumentation power systems
- Electronics test rack design
- CAD experience using EPlan
- PLC programming experience, preferably Siemens
- HMI and SCADA programming experience
- Knowledge of NEC and UL508A codes
- Collaboration in high-pressure environments
