SpaceX is looking for an Aviation Certification Engineer for the Starlink team located in Woodinville, WA. The role involves managing FAA certification processes to ensure compliance for Starlink's satellite communications solutions, particularly focusing on applications for aircraft.
What you'll do
- Produce certification deliverables compliant with FAA regulations
- Drive improvements in the certification process
- Manage multiple certification projects with updates to senior management
- Serve as a subject matter expert on FAA certification within the team
- Collaborate with hardware design teams to ensure early compliance
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline
- 1+ years in product design, testing, or manufacturing
- 2+ years of FAA certification experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of DO-160 environmental testing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word for documentation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in hardware lifecycle management
- Understanding of complex mechanical/electrical systems
