Avionics Test Engineer (Starship)

SpaceX is seeking an Avionics Test Engineer to work on advanced spacecraft avionics, focusing on the design and development of testing systems to ensure component performance and reliability. Candidates should have a strong background in electronic hardware development and programming, with a collaborative approach to solving complex problems.

What you'll do

• Design and develop custom test solutions for flight hardware
• Select or design PCBAs to measure signals and power units under test
• Write automation software in Python for test interactions
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to enhance product reliability
• Investigate and resolve testing anomalies and failures

What they're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• Experience in electronic hardware or software development
• Proficient in Python, MATLAB, or Embedded C/C++
• Circuit analysis and functional test planning
• PCB design and troubleshooting
• Test equipment proficiency (e.g., oscilloscopes, DMMs)
• Understanding of electrical schematics
• Experience in environmental testing
