BAW Device Engineer (Starlink/Akoustis)

SpaceX seeks a BAW Device Engineer to enhance XBAW resonators for their Starlink and Akoustis initiatives. This role involves conducting simulations, optimizing resonator performance, and integrating processes to support RF filter designs.

What you'll do

• Develop and optimize FEA setups for BAW resonator simulations
• Enhance performance of bulk acoustic wave resonators
• Refine thin film BAW resonator processes for better yield
• Support BAW filter design and process integration
• Create resonator equivalent circuit models for filter design
• Plan and conduct experiments with varied parameters

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 1+ years in semiconductor devices or RF systems
• Experience with COMSOL and HFSS
• Knowledge of RF circuits and electromagnetics
• Statistical analysis and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of BAW technology and device models
