SpaceX is looking for a Chemical Engineer to join their Launch Pad Engineering Team in Vandenberg, CA. The role involves ensuring the design and operation of launch pad fluid systems, leading technicians during build operations, and driving continuous improvement in hardware and procedures.

What you'll do

• Serve as the engineer for launch pad fluid systems
• Troubleshoot issues using principles of thermodynamics and fluid dynamics
• Lead a team of technicians during build and operational activities
• Enhance automation related to fluid systems
• Identify and implement upgrades to launch pad systems
• Present engineering data to U.S. government agencies

What they're looking for

• Degree in engineering (mechanical, aerospace, chemical, or physics)
• 1+ years in fluid or mechanical systems
• Experience with control systems and instrumentation
• Proficient in CAD software like SOLIDWORKS
• Programming skills in Python or similar languages
• Knowledge of engineering standards
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
