Civil Engineer, Starbase Infrastructure (Starship)

SpaceX is seeking a Civil Engineer for their Starbase Infrastructure team, focusing on designing and building critical infrastructure projects. The role involves managing construction activities and collaborating with various engineering disciplines to support SpaceX’s mission of facilitating human life beyond Earth.

What you'll do

• Develop and issue design documentation and drawings for land development projects
• Perform necessary calculations for grading and drainage, and other utilities
• Collaborate with a multi-discipline project team on engineering, procurement, and construction
• Drive the coordination needed for obtaining development permits
• Manage civil construction aspects, ensuring quality control and conflict resolution
• Prepare cost estimates and project schedules

What they're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
• 2+ years of experience in civil engineering
• Proficient in pump design and stormwater management
• Understanding of electrical, piping, and geotechnical disciplines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• PE or EIT license preferred
• Project management experience in construction
