CNC Programmer (Starship Components) - Level 4/5 (2nd Shift)

SpaceX is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer for the Starship Components team to work on innovative technologies essential for space exploration. This role involves programming, troubleshooting, and optimizing CNC operations for advanced hardware components while collaborating with engineering to enhance manufacturing processes.

What you'll do

• Program and generate G-Code for CNC machines using CAM software
• Create tooling and process setup sheets for new parts
• Set up and operate CNC programs, troubleshooting as needed
• Develop a CAM database for efficient programming of new parts
• Lead quality inspections and implement corrective actions
• Mentor junior programmers and improve team processes

What they're looking for

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience
• 2+ years of CNC programming experience
• Proficiency in CAM software
• Strong understanding of geometry and trigonometry
• Ability to read blueprints accurately
• Experience with multi-axis CNC operations
