CNC Programmer (Starship Components) - Level 4/5

SpaceX is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer for its Starship Components team, responsible for developing and optimizing machining processes for advanced space technology. This role involves programming and operating CNC machinery, collaborating with engineering to ensure part quality, and mentoring junior team members.

What you'll do

• Program CNC mills and lathes using CAM to generate G-Code
• Create setup sheets for new part introductions
• Troubleshoot and operate CNC programs to minimize downtime
• Contribute to a CAM database for new part programming
• Investigate quality concerns and implement corrective actions
• Collaborate with engineering for design optimizations

What they're looking for

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience
• 2+ years of CNC programming experience
• Proficiency in CAM software and custom post-processing
• Knowledge of advanced machining processes
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings
• Familiarity with Okuma OSP controls
• Solid mathematical skills for complex geometries
• Proactive quality improvement mindset
