SpaceX is seeking a CVD Equipment Engineer to oversee the PECVD equipment responsible for high-volume production of silicon heterojunction solar cells at their facility in Bastrop, TX. The role involves ensuring equipment reliability and performance while collaborating with process engineering to meet the ambitious goals of the Starlink satellite network.
What you'll do
- Manage installation and maintenance of high-throughput PECVD equipment
- Increase equipment reliability and uptime for large-scale production
- Conduct experiments to enhance production capacity and reduce defects
- Develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
- Lead root cause analysis for equipment-related issues
- Collaborate with Process Engineers on equipment modifications
