Data Engineer (Starship)

SpaceX is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Starship Supply Chain team at Starbase, TX. This role focuses on building data pipelines, automating processes, and creating tools to support efficient operations for extensive Starship launches.

What you'll do

• Take ownership of automations, applications, and data pipelines.
• Manage projects from problem identification to implementation and iteration.
• Transform and clean data for supply chain insights at all levels.
• Collaborate on software requirements and implementation.
• Develop and improve key operational metrics.

What they're looking for

• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Command line experience with UNIX-like systems.
• Proficient in Python, C#, or similar programming languages.
• Familiarity with data orchestration tools.
• Knowledge of data analysis libraries like Pandas and NumPy.
• Experience with data visualization tools.
• Understanding of data quality and statistical analysis.
