Development Test Engineer (Starshield)

About this role

SpaceX is looking for a Development Test Engineer to focus on testing and increasing the reliability of Starshield's products and systems. This role involves designing test equipment, conducting tests, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure performance meets specifications.

What you'll do

• Design test stands and equipment concepts
• Analyze structures, fluid systems, and mechanisms
• Coordinate with design engineers for lab equipment
• Train technicians and engineers on test procedures
• Supervise the integration of test stands
• Operate test stands with high attention to detail

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• Experience in mechanical structure design
• Knowledge of GD&T
• Familiarity with NX software
• Finite element analysis skills
• Basic programming (Python, JavaScript)
• Data acquisition experience
• Hands-on design and fabrication
