What you'll do

  • Travel to supplier sites to perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts and assemblies
  • Program and operate CMM equipment and articulating arms (Romer) to execute complex inspections
  • Verify feature tolerances and conformance to engineering drawings, purchase orders, and SpaceX specifications
  • Review and validate certifications, documentation, and quality compliance against industry standards
  • Support supplier corrective action processes and development of inspection plans
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to drive continuous improvement in inspection processes

  • Faro Arm or Romer Arm operation with measurement software (Verisurf preferred)
  • Precision mechanical inspection and metrology tool expertise
  • GD&T interpretation and ASME Y14.5 drawing standards

  • Statistical process control
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs and perform physical inspection tasks
