About this role
SpaceX seeks an Electrical Engineer to design and deploy electrical systems for Starship launch pad infrastructure, including power distribution, motor controls, and ground support equipment. You'll collaborate across teams to deliver reliable electrical infrastructure for launch operations at Starbase, TX.
What you'll do
- Lead electrical design for launch pad systems including power distribution, motor control, and infrastructure
- Design industrial control panels and power distribution systems per NEC, NFPA 79, and UL 508A standards
- Develop electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and construction documentation
- Specify electrical conduit, cable tray, and wiring methods for permanent and temporary installations
- Perform electrical studies including load calculations, short circuit, and arc flash analysis
- Provide field support during construction, activation, and testing; manage electrical subcontractors
