About this role
SpaceX seeks an Electrical On-Orbit Reliability Engineer to investigate and analyze hardware failures across the Starlink satellite constellation. You'll drive root cause analyses, conduct bench testing, collaborate across engineering disciplines, and use data analysis to improve reliability across thousands of deployed satellites.
What you'll do
- Analyze and track on-orbit hardware failures for Starlink satellites
- Drive root cause investigations for major on-orbit anomalies using electrical analysis and testing
- Perform bench testing and develop engineering models to understand and mitigate failures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, mechanical, thermal, software, operations) to eliminate failure sources
- Build and use data analysis tools to improve constellation performance from on-orbit and ground testing
- Automate and improve feedback loops from space operations to engineering teams
