About this role
SpaceX seeks an Electrical Test and Reliability Engineer to design automated test solutions and ensure Starlink satellite hardware reliability across avionics, payload systems, and ground gateways. You'll bridge electrical, mechanical, thermal, and software disciplines, developing both custom and COTS test infrastructure while supporting hardware from development through on-orbit operations.
What you'll do
- Design and develop automated test solutions for avionics and payload hardware using Python and test equipment
- Select or design custom PCBAs and measurement systems to validate flight-like loads and performance
- Perform electrical bench testing and develop engineering models to replicate and mitigate on-orbit anomalies
- Support hardware through production, integration, and flight operations with hands-on troubleshooting
- Collaborate across mechanical, thermal, software, and supply chain teams to deliver integrated hardware
- Build physical and digital analysis tools to drive design improvements from lab and on-orbit data
