Environmental Health & Safety Engineer (Construction, Launch Facility)

About this role

SpaceX is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer to manage EHS programs for its construction project at Cape Canaveral. The role entails ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting inspections, and providing training to enhance safety across construction sites.

What you'll do

• Oversee day-to-day EHS management for construction projects
• Implement and audit EHS management programs for contractors
• Conduct hazard inspections to identify and mitigate safety risks
• Collaborate on job hazard assessments and establish safety policies
• Educate construction personnel on safety procedures
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports on root causes

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field
• 1+ years in environmental health and safety in construction
• Experience in commercial/industrial construction safety
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other regulations
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• CHST or CSP certification preferred
