Equipment Reliability Engineer, Solar Cells (Starlink)

About this role

SpaceX is looking for an Equipment Reliability Engineer to enhance the reliability of production equipment for solar cell manufacturing. This role will focus on improving asset uptime and driving maintenance strategies in support of advanced AI data centers in orbit.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure reliability of new installations
• Maintain and improve critical equipment and processes
• Develop and execute maintenance plans using predictive tools
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Manage troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing lean principles

What they're looking for

• Degree in engineering or related STEM field
• 1+ years in engineering roles within manufacturing
• Experience with automation and control systems
• Proficient in CMMS and data analytics
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma
• Ability to read schematics and manuals
• Understanding of cleanroom protocols
• Strong problem-solving skills
