Facilities Engineer

About this role

SpaceX is seeking a Facilities Engineer for its Starlink Production facility in Redmond, WA, responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of mechanical systems. This role involves troubleshooting, improving infrastructure systems, and overseeing the installation of new processes to support their mission of global connectivity and human life on Mars.

What you'll do

• Support design and operation of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, etc.)
• Coordinate maintenance and production to minimize disruptions
• Lead mechanical system improvement projects
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems and develop maintenance protocols
• Manage construction contracts with subcontractors
• Oversee equipment installation and operation

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's in mechanical engineering or related field
• 3+ years in industrial HVAC/plumbing systems
• Clean-room design experience
• AutoCAD/Revit familiarity
• Knowledge of industry codes (ASHRAE, NFPA)
• Project management skills
• Ability to work in high-stress environments
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities
