Hardware Development Engineer, Failure Analysis (Starlink)

SpaceX is seeking a Hardware Development Engineer for Failure Analysis to enhance the reliability of Starlink hardware. The role involves identifying and resolving hardware failures through collaboration with various engineering teams and conducting investigations and tests on electronic components.

What you'll do

• Conduct failure analysis of satellite and gateway hardware.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to improve product reliability.
• Perform investigations on PCBAs using schematics and test equipment.
• Work with test engineers to enhance testing feedback.
• Monitor yield rates and enforce corrective actions.
• Conduct environmental testing to validate product robustness.

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 1+ years of experience in hardware development or reliability engineering.
• Experience with electronic hardware troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of environmental testing methods.

• Experience in digital and mixed-signal designs.
• Understanding of communication interfaces and circuit testing.
