About this role
SpaceX seeks a Hardware Development Engineer to design, test, and analyze ground antenna electronics for Starlink's satellite network. You'll perform failure analysis, develop test solutions, and collaborate across electrical, mechanical, thermal, and software teams to ensure robust gateway hardware performance globally.
What you'll do
- Design and execute environmental, RF, mechanical, and electrical test solutions for ground antenna electronics
- Perform failure analysis to identify root causes and implement corrective actions for antenna hardware
- Select or design custom PCBAs for signal measurement, load application, and unit testing
- Support hardware through design qualification, production ramp, and network deployment phases
- Conduct electrical bench testing to replicate and mitigate field anomalies
- Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, software, and supply chain engineers on integrated solutions
