Hardware Development Engineer, PCBA Manufacturing (Starlink)

SpaceX is seeking a Hardware Development Engineer for PCBA Manufacturing to lead production processes and enhance product quality for the Starlink satellite internet system. The role involves managing PCBA products, collaborating with engineers, and driving improvements to manufacturing practices.

What you'll do

• Oversee PCBA processes and products for in-house production
• Drive volume production processes including execution and tracking
• Manage new product introductions in collaboration with design engineers
• Develop and maintain work instructions and process documentation
• Monitor schedules, work-in-progress, and defect rates
• Identify optimization trends and implement corrective actions

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• Experience in manufacturing processes
• Hands-on knowledge of SMT processing
• Statistical analysis capabilities
• Familiarity with IPC manufacturing standards
• Proficiency in SQL and Python
• Experience with Six Sigma
• Strong communication skills
