Hardware Reliability Engineer, Components (Starshield)

SpaceX is seeking a Hardware Reliability Engineer for the Starshield program to enhance the reliability of electrical components used in government applications. The role involves assessing risks, driving reliability testing, and collaborating with design and manufacturing teams to ensure high-performance components for mission-critical systems.

What you'll do

• Support team leadership and provide technical guidance
• Resolve avionics EEE component reliability issues
• Implement reliability testing and risk assessment strategies
• Lead reliability test planning and execution
• Analyze failures and develop corrective actions
• Interface with various SpaceX teams for component evaluation

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or physics
• 2+ years in hardware development or analysis
• 1+ years with Python or SQL
• Understanding of reliability statistics
• Experience in failure investigations
• Knowledge of environmental testing
• Ability to work cross-functionally
• Active security clearance preferred
