About this role
As a Hardware Test Engineer for Starlink at SpaceX, you'll be integral to ensuring satellite hardware can endure the rigors of space while maintaining global connectivity. This role involves developing automated electrical test systems across various technical areas, employing cross-disciplinary collaboration.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers to create test systems for flight hardware
- Define and document test system requirements and strategies
- Design and produce test assets including electrical panels and fixtures
- Select or design hardware to measure signals and apply flight-like loads
- Propose improvements by analyzing data from production and on-orbit
- Use software tools to interact with test units and equipment
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
- 1+ years in hardware development or electronics testing
- Experience with Python programming
- Understanding of electrical schematics and electronics manufacturing
- Familiarity with RF components and testing techniques
- Ability to design and troubleshoot PCBAs
- Knowledge of environmental testing methods
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
