IT Network Infrastructure Engineer, Launch

About this role

SpaceX is seeking an IT Network Infrastructure Engineer to design and support critical IT systems for Starship launch operations. This role involves installing and maintaining networking hardware and cabling that can withstand extreme launch conditions, ensuring reliable communication and functionality during launches.

What you'll do

• Manage network infrastructure including design, installation, and troubleshooting
• Monitor network health and resolve system issues
• Conduct site assessments with stakeholders and gather project requirements
• Collaborate with engineering teams for scalable and maintainable solutions
• Innovate solutions for layer1 challenges in networking
• Ensure seamless operation of IT systems during launch windows

What they're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant STEM discipline
• Experience in communication architecture design
• Project management abilities
• Knowledge of TCP/IP communication equipment
• Familiarity with fiber and copper cabling standards
