About this role
SpaceX seeks an IT Network Infrastructure Specialist to design and maintain layer 1 network infrastructure supporting critical launch, landing, and production facilities at Vandenberg. You'll manage fiber optic cabling, telecommunications systems, and mission-critical infrastructure for Falcon, Dragon, and Starship operations.
What you'll do
- Design and implement local and wide-area network solutions across multiple platforms and protocols
- Conduct detailed fiber optic network design for middle-mile and last-mile deployments
- Plan projects, analyze costs, and evaluate vendors for network infrastructure
- Coordinate with professional services and subcontractors on complex facility installations
- Manage work orders, inventory, and documentation of infrastructure components and maintenance records
- Support land and sea-based assets with infrastructure maintenance in diverse operational environments
