About this role
Design and implement layer 1 network infrastructure supporting SpaceX's launch, landing, and production facilities at Starbase. This role involves planning fiber optic networks, managing installations, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining critical telecommunications systems for Falcon, Dragon, and Starship missions.
What you'll do
- Design local and wide-area network solutions across multiple platforms and protocols
- Conduct detailed fiber optic network design for middle mile and last mile deployments
- Plan projects, analyze costs, and compare vendor solutions
- Manage work orders, support tickets, and infrastructure maintenance documentation
- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and professional services for complex installations
- Maintain inventory of replacement hardware, materials, and tools for operational needs
