Launch Engineer, Spacecraft Integration (Starshield)

SpaceX is seeking a Launch Engineer for its Starshield spacecraft integration team at Vandenberg, CA. This role involves supporting satellite designs, managing project initiatives, and collaborating closely with engineering staff to ensure successful launch and integration processes.

What you'll do

• Support engineering teams with launch-site activities for Starshield satellites
• Drive project initiatives for integration and improvements
• Participate in design reviews and manage mission work instructions
• Design and develop processes for satellite integration and related equipment
• Complete operational checkouts interacting with ground support systems
• Track multiple project priorities and manage actionable items for system improvements

What they're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• 1+ years of experience with system assemblies
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
• Hands-on experience with spacecraft integration and testing
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Experience in test plan writing and test automation
• Proficient in Python, SQL, and data reporting tools
• Ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment
