SpaceX is seeking a Launch Reliability Engineer to enhance the reliability of launch operations and rocket recovery processes. This role entails collaboration across multiple teams to improve hardware and processes, ensuring efficient and successful launches as part of the effort to advance human space exploration.

What you'll do

  • Ensure systems and processes critical to launch operations are designed and maintained for reliability
  • Collaborate across disciplines for optimized launch pad system processes
  • Identify and improve high-risk processes during refurbishment and operations
  • Lead investigations into root causes and corrective actions
  • Enable rapid launch cadence through effective feedback loops and data utilization
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure quality and manufacturability

What they're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or physics
  • 1+ years in quality, manufacturing, or design engineering
  • Experience with complex electro-mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of Lean principles and Six Sigma
  • Root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work hands-on with hardware
