About this role
SpaceX is looking for a Liquefied Natural Gas Process/Project Engineer in Starbase, TX, to oversee the development of methane liquefaction infrastructure and natural gas pipelines. The role requires a blend of engineering expertise and project management skills to drive projects efficiently and safely to completion.
What you'll do
- Support engineering and project management for methane liquefaction and pipeline projects
- Coordinate with teams and stakeholders on technical decisions
- Collaborate with EPC firms for design and construction of infrastructure
- Manage third-party contractor relationships to ensure quality and performance
- Oversee project execution from conception through commissioning
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's in chemical, mechanical, or petroleum engineering
- 3+ years of LNG processing or natural gas experience
- Understanding of cryogenic thermodynamics and heat exchangers
- Hands-on LNG plant operations experience
- Familiarity with process simulation tools
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of LNG and pipeline design codes
- Experience in fast-paced energy environments
