Manufacturing Engineer, Injection Molding (Starlink)

SpaceX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer specializing in injection molding for its Starlink project, aimed at deploying advanced broadband systems globally. The engineer will focus on optimizing production processes and scaling operations for high-volume manufacturing of plastic components.

What you'll do

• Develop plastic injection molding processes for Starlink hardware
• Optimize parameters through experiments to ensure robust processes
• Implement high-volume production processes for over 1 million units annually
• Optimize production layout for efficient material flow
• Identify and drive safety improvement projects
• Support technical issues on the production line

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's in engineering or physics
• 1+ years in manufacturing environment
• Direct experience with plastic injection molding
• Ability to design tooling for high volume manufacturing
• Experience in automation implementation
• Knowledge in design of experiments
• Familiarity with ERP, MRP, and MES systems
• Experience with NX and Teamcenter
