What you'll do
- Develop in-house machining capabilities for Starship components
- Analyze parts for manufacturability and assembly optimization
- Maintain feedback loops with downstream operations
- Inspect quality concerns and authorize use of out-of-tolerance parts
- Procure and install machine shop equipment, ensuring maintenance
- Lead cost optimization initiatives in fabrication processes
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or physics
- 1+ years of machine shop experience
- CNC programming proficiency
- Experience with precision machining equipment
- Knowledge of GD&T and inspection procedures
- Experience operating CNC and conventional machines
- Familiarity with metrology systems
