About this role
SpaceX seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for Starlink PCBA production in Bastrop, TX to develop, manage, and continuously improve printed circuit board assembly manufacturing processes at high volume. The role combines process design, equipment qualification, quality management, and cross-functional collaboration to scale production while maintaining reliability and cost efficiency.
What you'll do
- Own and manage PCBA manufacturing processes and volume production execution including configuration management and traceability tracking
- Lead new product introduction of PCBA assemblies by coordinating with design engineers and process specialists
- Conduct process capability analysis and gauge R&R studies to select and validate new equipment
- Identify and resolve SMT production and testing issues through root-cause analysis and corrective actions
- Design production line safety improvements and manage work instructions, documentation, and operator training
- Track performance metrics including schedule, WIP levels, and defect rates while identifying optimization opportunities
