About this role
SpaceX seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and optimize production processes for Raptor turbomachinery components and assemblies. You'll work hands-on in a fast-paced environment to implement innovative manufacturing capabilities, design tooling solutions, and drive high-rate production while collaborating closely with design engineers and fabrication teams.
What you'll do
- Develop manufacturing and integration processes for Raptor turbomachinery components and assemblies
- Design tooling and repeatable balance correction methods for rotating machinery
- Optimize existing processes based on test data and resolve conflicting manufacturing requirements
- Drive innovative production processes to meet high-rate production targets
- Resolve non-conformance issues and develop sustainable repair procedures with quality team
- Interface daily with production technicians, engineers, and leadership on manufacturing challenges
