Manufacturing Engineer, Supplier Development (Starlink)

SpaceX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer specializing in Supplier Development for the Starlink project in Redmond, WA. This role involves collaborating with various teams and suppliers to enhance the supply chain for satellite production, ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery.

What you'll do

• Enhance metrics for mechanical hardware in Starlink systems
• Collaborate with engineering teams for in-depth design knowledge
• Support procurement team in sourcing parts based on supplier capabilities
• Create supplier technical and quality requirements
• Lead resolution of supplier quality issues through root cause analysis
• Analyze supplier metrics to drive improvement plans

What they're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or STEM
• 2+ years in manufacturing or supply chain engineering
• Knowledge of statistical techniques and methods
• Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT)
• Knowledge of metrology tools and techniques
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
