SpaceX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for the Aviation Hardware Team to oversee the design, production, and operation of flight hardware for Starlink. The role demands strong technical skills and collaboration with various teams to develop high-performance, reliable hardware for aircraft connectivity.
What you'll do
- Own hardware from design to production and operation for aircraft
- Develop design criteria and drive system-level optimization
- Perform design analysis using CAD and FEA
- Lead design reviews and work on certification with FAA designees
- Generate detailed production drawings and analyze tolerances
- Conduct environmental and performance testing on hardware
